There's good news for property owners in Millcreek. The township's preliminary 2013 budget does not call for a tax increase.
Last year, supervisors raised taxes one-half mill, the first hike in a decade. But the preliminary spending plan to be unveiled Tuesday morning holds the line on taxes.
Cost savings from the mild winter of 2011-2012 was a big factor. Still, balancing the budget wasn't easy.
Supervisor Brian McGrath said, "It was somewhat of a difficult project this year in that we have a lot of major projects we will be tackling in 2013 which we had to budget for."
Some of those projects include park improvements, and building handicapped accessible curb cuts.
