It's now official. Millcreek Supervisors today unanimously approved a 2013 preliminary budget.
As we first reported yesterday, the spending plan does ot include a tax hike. And fees will not go up either.
Supervisors used savings from the mild weather last winter, and $2 million in surplus funds to balance the budget. But they still think they will end the year with cash reserves. Supervisor
Joe Kujawa said, "We had $400,000 last year. It projects that we will have a little over $1 million this year. So if we can do the same thing we will have even more this year."
Supervisors don't expect to make any revisions before a final vote on December 26.
That could change thogh if long term negotiations for a building to house a senior citizen center could be finalized quickly.
