Erie County Council on Tuesday voted to move along with plans for a 911 Memorial to be built here in Erie.
Council unanimously voted in favor for this, moving along with plans for the memorial to be built at the Blasco Library. Council also voted to give $10,000 to go towards the construction.
And with this vote on Tuesday night, they gave go ahead to the committee for this project to move along with the planning process.
"I think this resolution, I hope, will be a good kick to fundraising efforts and just general awareness of what I think is a really hallowed artifact that we are fortunate to have here in Erie County," said County Council Member Dr. Kyle Foust.
No word yet, on when construction will begin.
