Hope for the Holidays Drive-Thru: Friday

Posted: Updated:
TOLEDO, Ohio -

As the Christmas carol goes, "it's the most wonderful time of the year."  We want that to be the case for every family who is celebrating. But, with some families struggling to make ends meet, there are some kids who might not find much under the tree without your help.

Many generous viewers have already donated thousands of toys to the cause. That includes a drop-off on Tuesday of some 1,200 Hot Wheel cars by Josh Chevalier.

Last year, viewers donated 7,986 toys through Hope for the Holidays.  This year, we hope to make an even greater impact, and Friday, 13abc is hosting a donation drive-thru celebration.

From 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, you can drop off toys outside our studios.

Just come in through our main entrance at 4247 Dorr Street.

We'll have special guests and musical acts on hand throughout the day -- and Santa himself will even make an appearance!

We hope to see you here, at the studio on Dorr Street, this Friday.

For more details on hope for the holidays, including other drop-off locations, follow this link.

If a tornado threatens, get into the basement. If you don't have a basement, a small, interior room in the lowest floor of your home is relatively safe. Avoid rooms with windows. Mobile homes are not safe in a tornado.
