Figure Skating Club Warms Up for Winter Show

Members of the Westminster Figure Skating Club of Erie were practicing Wednesday for their winter performance. The show, "A Winter Skating Spectacular," will be held on Sunday, December 9 at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.

Admission is just a monetary donation with a portion of those donations benefiting the "Kids Cafe," which provides free meals and snacks to needy children.

Organizers say it's a way for the skating club to give back during the holiday season.

"Its a good opportunity for our skaters to show what they've been working on throughout the year as well as again to support a fundraiser or organization throughout the community," said co-chair of the show Kassandra Bidwell.

That show starts at 3:30 PM. If you give a donation at the door, you will be entered in a raffle for five free weeks of lessons.
