A peaceful protest took place Saturday, outside of Presque Isle Rehab and Nursing Center.
Demonstrators took to the pavement to speak out against Health Bridge, the center's parent company.
Recently, staff cuts at a Health Bridge organization in Connecticut forced 600 workers to go on strike.
Saturday's protest was a show of solidarity, and to warn of the company's so-called disregard of the law, its employees, and residents.
It wasn't a very public venue, but protestors hoped to reach families walking in and out of the center.
"We're hoping to raise awareness within the family members that will be visiting today," said protester Molly Brechtel. "I know myself as a family member of a former resident I would have liked to have known the immoral, illegal and unjust actions of the corporation that owns this facility."
Police were on the scene, but the protest remained controlled.
