Regional high school students exercised their brainpower on Saturday at the second Academic Sports League competition of the year.
Competitors from 21 high schools faced off in Penn State Behrend's Erie Hall during the "super quiz relay" portion of the contest.
Local schools like Cathedral Prep and Union City High School were joined by farther schools, like Moniteau and Cochranton.
ASL provides an opportunity for students to learn beyond the classroom, and hone academic skills both as a team and individually.
Moniteau High School took first place as they did in the first competition; second went to Collegiate Academy, and McDowell finished third.
