ABERDEEN, South Dakota -
Snow, blustery winds and frigid air are combining to create blizzard conditions across parts of the northern Plains this weekend. This Saturday evening, Blizzard Warnings are in effect in parts of the Dakotas and Minnesota. More than six inches of snow will fall in some areas, but with winds gusting to near 45 mph, the visibility will fall below a quarter mile, and wind chill values will plummet to the -10 to -30 range as the weekend ends, several states to our west.
Locally, we do have some snowflakes in our forecast, but nothing nearly as disruptive is expected. After a rainy Sunday, a few snow showers and snow flurries will cross the area on Monday afternoon and evening. The flurries will exit to our east on Tuesday.
