Jamestown Woman Hit by Truck Dies

An elderly Jamestown, NY woman has died of her injuries after she was hit by a truck Friday morning.  Police say 85 year old Angeline Marucci was attempting to cross West 4th Street between Lafayette Street and Washington Street at about 10:30 a.m. when she was hit by a westbound pick-up truck.  The driver was approaching a green traffic light on the one way street when he hit the woman.  Marucci was taken to WCA Hospital by rescuers from Alstar ambulance.  She died from her injuries at 2:09 p.m.  The driver of the truck was not charged in the accident.  Jamestown Police Accident Investigation Unit and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating.
