Toledo fire sends one man to the hospital

Toledo, OHIO - (WTVG) -- A man is in the hospital after a fire in Toledo.

The fire, which started in the kitchen, happened around 6:30am at a home on Orville Road near Middlehurst.

Firefighters say when they pulled up to the house, there was a disoriented man lying on the yard.

Firefighters also found another man inside the home.

Crews found him unconscious and initiated Advanced Life Support Care. He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent where his condition is unknown at the time.

Crews also say a dog died in the fire. The cause is under investigation.
