Gannon University awarded undergraduate degrees to a mother and son on winter graduation day. Cindy DiGangi earned a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology, while her son Tony earned a degree in Information Systems. Cindy says her husband cooked and did chores and home to help make it possible for her to work on the degree. Sadly, he died two years ago, and was not able to share in his wife and son's success.
Cindy said, "I'm wearing my wedding ring to honor my husband, who was an awesome father, I'm so proud of my son and I wish him the best in the world." Tony said, "It's just a wonderful feeling, it was a lot of hard work." He said he was so happy to do it with his mom. "I hope that God blesses us and gives us a great future," Cindy added.
Both were strong students. Tony is in General Electric's leadership program. Cindy earned a 3.9 GPA.
