FINDLAY - The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams completed day one of the Oiler Opener on Friday, Dec. 7 in Findlay, Ohio.

Pam Showman showed a promising start to her season for the women setting the school record in the Pentathlon with 3,399 total points, good enough for an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying total. Freshman Lydia Guagenti also performed well in the event with a fifth place finish and 3,139 points.

In the women's weight throw, Kendra Averesch finished eighth with a toss of 51-10.50.

On the men's side, Marcus Vicars finished sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 55-05.75, while Taylor Miller took 11th with a mark of 48-10.75.
