Erie Joins in Wreaths Across America

Erie joined in a national salute to veterans today, with a "Wreaths across America" celebration.

The Knights of Columbus of St. Boniface gathered at the Mount of Olives Cemetery by the church, to lay wreaths in honor of local veterans. Many were veterans themselves.

They placed wreaths to remember the service of members of every military branch, and one for prisoners of war and those missing in action.

A similar event took place at Arlington National Cemetery and other sites around the nation.
