RANDALL COUNTY, Texas -
At least two tornadoes touched down in Texas on Friday, as severe weather crossed the Texas Panhandle. While no injuries or deaths are attributed to the brief twisters, it is believed that straight-line winds rolled a semi truck over in Randall County, Texas, killing one person. Some of the straight-line wind gusts tied to these storms were measured at 74-77 mph.
Texas averages 5 tornadoes each December. Nationally, we have seen far fewer tornadoes than average in 2012.
