Faculty Union Contract Talks Canceled

A bargaining  session aimed at averting a faculty strike at Edinboro and other state owned universities has been canceled.

 The faculty union has voted to authorize a strike if a deal cannot be worked out. The key stumbling blocks are pay for part-time faculty and health care for retirees.

 The two sides were scheduled to meet today, but that session was canceled by mutual agreement.

The contract talks are now set to resume on January 4th.
