Erie Police Investigate Late Night Robberies

Erie Police are investigating two late night robberies.

The first happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday at the Downtown Erie Hotel on West 18th Street.

Police say two men jumped over the counter and stole cash from the register. No one was hurt.

Police are also investigating a home invasion on the city's east side. It happened around 12:30 Wednesday morning at a home on East 18th Street.

Police say five men wearing masks entered the residence after knocking on the door. Nothing was stolen, but one person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
