The Midwest blizzard has come to an end, but it has left its mark. The storm was one of the worst ever recorded for Madison, Wisconsin. Some spots picked up 20" of snow. Areas around Madison, WI got about 15-20" of snowfall. This was the same area that had a line of thundersnow that developed on Thursday morning. Winds gusted between 40 and 50 mph across most of southeast Wisconsin. One area that had a forecast "bust" during the storm was Chicago. The temperature stayed just above freezing keeping the bulk of the precipitation just rainfall. When the storm came to an end, the city saw less than 1" of snowfall.
