Military Families Get Early Christmas Present

The holidays will be a little merrier for some local veterans and their families, thanks to the efforts of a Tops employee.

Mooch Zielewski got his coworkers from six area stores to pitch in, and raised $6700 to put baskets together for veterans who need a little help this holiday.

Families picked up their gifts and were treated to lunch at the Tops on 26th Street.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were there too. They gave out toys to 65 kids from military families.

55 families in total received the baskets.
