They're known as Santa Rigoni and Sparkles. The dynamic duo out of Port Clinton has found a special way to spread holiday joy throughout Northwest Ohio. They've been hard at work since Thanksgiving spreading holiday joy and cheer.
"We just love it, we love it, " says Santa Rigoni. "And Sparkles here loves it too, it's what we do."
On Monday alone, they made more than 25 stops. One of them was the Zura household, where each child got a special, personalized gift.
"I was happy to see him," says little Tyler Zura.
"He cares about everyone and he never forgets a gift for every child in the world," says 7-year-old Delaine Zura.
Adult family members say watching the little ones light up makes this the most special time of the year.
"They're so happy to see Santa, and the mystery of Santa and the magic," says Ericka.
"We're blessed. We enjoy it for the grand kids, and they look forward to it, it means so much to us," say Jim and Mary, the grandparents of the family.
Santa and Sparkles say their message this holiday season is pay it forward. Despite their dozens of stops, they don't charge a penny for their visits. They love bringing families and communities together, a gift that keeps on giving.
