If you're heading out on the highway Wednesday night, PennDOT is asking drivers to take it easy on the roads.
It's temporarily reducing the speed limit to 45 miles per hour on the following interstates:
- Interstate 79 in Erie, Crawford and Mercer counties
- Interstates 90 and 86 in Erie county
- Interstate 376 in Mercer county
- Interstates 78, 80 and 81 across Pennsylvania
Motorists are also asked to avoid driving unless necessary.
PennDOT says crews will be treating roadways around the clock to keep roads passable.
