Titusville V.F.W. Gives Back to the Community

A Titusville group is giving back to the community.

The Titusville Bruce Shorts V.F.W. Post 5958 donated $67,000 Thursday, benefiting the following groups:

  • $10,000 of that donation goes to the Titusville Food Bank.
  • $5,000 is going to My Father's House of Erie, a place for homeless female veterans.
  • Another $5,000 goes to the Erie Soldiers and Sailors Home.
  • $5,000 each is going to the YMCA, YWCA, Love Inc., Titusville School for a scoreboard, and Titusville Health and Aging.

In all, 20 organizations received a portion of the donation. The money comes from small games of chance at the V.F.W.
