Ships Spending the Winter in Erie for Repairs

The first Great Lakes freighter to dock in Erie for winter repairs has arrived.

The ship McKee Sons arrived at the Don Jon Shipyard on Christmas Eve. It is the first of 5 ships expected to spend the winter in Erie. The remainder of ships will arrive in port when their work for the season is exhausted.

Many crew members will stay in Erie with their ship while it is being repaired.
