The Midwest drought is still causing issues. While most of Ohio is not under a drought. Severe drought does take up most of the country's farm land. There still hasn't been a significant shift in the weather pattern to ease conditions. There is still plenty of time for a pattern change to occur before the next growing season. Average or above average late winter snow and spring rain is needed for this area, otherwise the drought could worsen and food production may take another hit in 2013.
