Champagne Sales Up in Erie

Lots of people were out picking up a new year's essential Sunday afternoon.

Champagne was a big seller, at the Wines and Spirits store in the Yorktown Center.

The manager said alcohol sales were up in general this holiday season, but of course champagne was the most popular purchase.

He also said a lot more people seemed to be stocking up for their 2013 celebration, than they did for 2012.

If you still need to get your bubbly, the store will be open New Year's Eve from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
