Toledo teen remembered a year after shooting death

Friends and family of Deadrick Rocker remembered the teen a year to the day after he was shot to death on December 30, 2011 while leaving a party.

His grieving mother Leslie Hawkins has spent the past year speaking out against violence.

"People just don't understand. To lose a child...I can understand if it was a natural cause, but to lose a child the way I lost my son, there's no understanding.

Teenager Davion Wilson is set to stand trial for Rocker's death in February.

    One woman is in the hospital after an early morning fire. The fire started at a duplex on Vance street. Investigators say the home might need to be demolished. When crews arrived on the scene flames were shooting from the roof. The cause is still under investigation.
