Last day for foreclosure review

TOLEDO - Monday, December 31st, is the deadline for foreclosure reviews for homeowners to seek compensation of up to $100,000 if documents in the foreclosure process were improperly prepared by servicers and banks. The Office Comptroller of the Currency is overseeing the reviews with the Federal Reserve as a result of settlements with 14 mortgage servicers and their affiliates.

Requests can be submitted online at the website independentforeclosurereview.com or they must be postmarked no later than Monday. Answers to questions can be found on the website or by calling 888-952-9105.
