Where will you be when the ball drops?
Thousands of Erieites will be celebrating in big-city style, at some of Erie's most popular venues.
"We've had seven consecutive sellouts, and people know December first to come get the tickets," said Chris Sirianni, Owner of the Brewerie at Union Station. "Usually we're sold out the day after Christmas, and this year was no exception."
Places like the Brewerie, who have hosted new years eve parties for years, are still going strong.
But new parties are attracting plenty of business, too.
"We were happy to see a lot of people bought tickets when they first went on sale, and people continued ordering them up through last night on our web site," said Ben Speggen, Managing Editor at the Erie Reader.
The Erie Reader is hosting its first ever New Year's Eve party, at the Erie Art Museum.
You can still get in at the door, and it's a good choice if you're into live music.
"We wanted something we'd wanna go to, something playing a lot of great live music, to capitalize on the immense amount of local talent that we have here," said Speggen.
Scott Enterprises added to their list of New Year's festivities this year, with a party at the Ambassador Center.
400 tickets went fast, in part because of the package deal.
"For one hundred dollars a person, they can go to the party and stay over night in one of our beautiful rooms either at the Courtyard or at the Hilton."
At the stroke of midnight, first time hosts and seasoned party planners alike will enjoy the fruits of their labor.
"It's a crazy night I think for any owner-operator, but by midnight hopefully we get to raise a glass and enjoy the rest with everybody," said Sirianni.
