Thousands will hit the streets the Port Clinton on Monday night to continue their annual 'Walleye Drop' at midnight. For the past sixteen years, Port Clinton has held its "Madness at Midnight". Event leaders drop a 20-foot, 600-pound walleye at the stroke of midnight.
It's a fun event for the town and a nice boost to the downtown businesses. Many of them stay open, and prepare special dishes to commemorate the festivities like Walleye Chowder, Walleye Sandwiches, and even a Walleye White wine.
