Christmas tree may have caused S. Toledo fire

Investigators say a Christmas tree could be to blame for a fire inside a South Toledo home. Firefighters were called to the house on the 1300 block of South Avenue around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.

One person was inside the home at the time. Crews tell us he was able to safely escape through a second story window.

Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out and stop it from spreading to neighboring homes.

No one was hurt in the blaze.
