Prison Time for Man Firing Gun at Car Full of People

The Erie man who plead guilty to firing a gun at a car full of people is headed to prison.

Tareek Hanner, 19, was sentenced to 4.5 to 10 years in jail.

Back in October, he pled guilty to aggravated assault as part of a plea deal. In exchange, prosecutors dropped other charges, including attempted homicide.

The incident happened back in April. He fired several rounds at an occupied car on West 17th Street. Nobody was hurt.
