Driver Slams into House New Year's Day

A local driver faces D.U.I. charges after his car slammed into a house.

It happened about 6:30 Tuesday night in the 1100 block of East 26th Street.

Witnesses say the driver clipped a parked car, crossed the road, went over a snow bank, through a yard, and hit the house. Nobody was hurt.

Police took the driver away in handcuffs.
