TOLEDO, Ohio -
Northwest Ohio and some parts of Southeast Michigan are getting a brief chance to see the first meteor shower of 2013. The Quadrantid Meteor Shower is underway, early this Thursday morning. Some clearing during the overnight hours has allowed for a stripe of clear skies across the Toledo metro area, a few hours shy of sunrise. If you want to see the shooting stars, the best viewing will be possible if you look northeast. Clouds are increasing from the west, and they, along with sunrise, will bring a quick end to the opportunity.
