The products out of Viking Plastics reach across the country, and across continents, but it all starts with just over 100 employees in Corry, PA.
"We don't want people who come in and work and just clock in and clock out," said Operations Manager Rob Elchynski. "They add value to the company, and employees see that."
If you've ever driven a car, you've probably benefited from the 40-year- old injection molding business.
"We virtually have components in every vehicle in North America," said Director of Engineering Greg Bowes. "Without our parts there wouldn't be many cars driving around."
"We ship to South America, we ship to South Africa, Australia, Europe both eastern and western,as well as Asia," said CEO Kelly Goodsel. He's been with the company since 2006.
Some tasks in the factory have been automated, but the company hasn't cut jobs.
Their growth is thanks in part to the dedication of employees at every level.
Goodsel said "It starts with the first shift operator all the way through the sales team, the operations team... it's a team effort."
"It's critical that all the employees work well together... to get quality parts to our customers," agreed Elchynski.
The Employer of the Year nomination is fitting for a company who promotes a culture of opportunity and career advancement.
"As the company grows there's also opportunities for the employees to enrich themselves as well... and move up in their career," said Bowes, who has been with the company for 13 years himself.
Materials Manager Shawn Gross added, "When we're all working together to achieve something great, we'll achieve it."
The winner of the Employer of the Year Award will be announced at the Economic Development Corporation's annual dinner on January 17.
