Baby delivered after fatal crash in critical condition

Posted: Updated:

A woman who was nine months pregnant was killed in a crash in Perrysburg Township Thursday, but her baby is alive. It happened just after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Route 20 and Tracy Road.

State troopers say Dustin Kominek lost control while he was trying to turn north onto Tracy, and his vehicle came to a stop in the intersection.

A vehicle travelling in the other direction hit the passenger side of his car.

Kominek's wife, Rachel, was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS delivered her baby, who was then flown to the hospital. Officials at Mercy St. V's say the infant is in critial condition.

Mr. Kominek, along with the driver and passenger of the other vehicle, are all expected to be okay.
