It's week two on the job for new PA 3rd District Representative Ryan Bizzarro. He's converted his campaign headquarters next to Frankie & May grocers into his local legislative offices. Bizzarro says he's excited to be on the job and excited for the opportunity that local voters have given him. Already he has signed on to co-sponsor 50 pieces of legislation.
Bizzarro, who characterizes himself as moderate, says most of the measures have bi-partisan support and focus on the issues that he promised voters he would address. Those are public safety matters and initiatives that have to do with business and economic development. He's optimistic that they have a good chance of moving forward.
Another measure he's sponsoring aims to make it easier for voters to get the proper voter ID. Bizzarro believes the law requiring voters to present a valid form of ID at the polls will stand. His measure would allow voters to get the needed ID, in the officer of their state representative.
