Convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky returned to a Pennsylvania court Thursday.
Defense lawyers and prosecutors arrived at the Bellefonte Courthouse just before 9 a.m. They were followed by a smiling Jerry Sandusky.
This is Sandusky's first public appearance in three months. His lawyers are seeking a new trial, claiming he initially did not get a fair trial.
The defense is expected to argue they did not have enough time to prepare for the trial. That's after the prosecution turned over an overwhelming amount of material at the last minute.
Sandusky was found guilty on 45 charges of child sexual abuse. A judge sentenced him to at least 30 years in prison. The 68-year-old Sandusky has maintained his innocence throughout the case.
Sandusky is currently serving his sentence at Greene State Prison, nearly 200 miles away from Bellefonte.
