An East High senior will get a chance to personally watch President Obama sworn into office for his second term.
Eighteen year old Kaleb Cabisca was trying to raise $4,000 to attend the inaugural as part of the leadership conference. That did not work out. But with the help of school and community leaders enough money was raised for a less expensive option that will include tickets and meetings with political leaders.
Kaleb said, "I'm very excited. I didn't think i would have an opportunity like this. I am very happy. I have the opportunity now."
East High Principal Jim Smith said, "Oh, I'm really excited. it is kind of neat that one of our students gets to see a piece of history."
Kaleb will travel to Washington, D.C. with his friend Zack Binder, a student at Collegiate Academy.
