Former Prison Corrections Officers Head to Trial

Two former Erie County Prison corrections officers facing theft and tampering charges are now headed to trial.

Both Leslie and Daniel Danowski waived their rights to a preliminary hearing Friday.

They are accused of manipulating time sheets and stealing ammunition from the prison. Both were fired back in October, following an investigation that was launched by county executive Barry Grossman.

As of Friday afternoon, there's no word on a trial date for either person.
