More Talks to Avoid Faculty Union Strike

Another round of talks aimed at avoiding a faculty union strike at Edinboro and other state owned universities ended late this afternoon.

 We've learned the two sides made progress on some key financial issues. But health care for current union members and retirees remains a key stumbling block.

The union and state have been trying to hammer out a contract for the past 2 years. They will head back to the bargaining table again next Wednesday.
