A Crawford County judge has delayed the murder trial for two Crawford county women pending their psychiatric evaluations.
Judge Mark Stevens delayed the trial for 20- year- old Ashley Barber and 19-year- old Jade Olmstead.
Both are accused in the brutal beating death of 20-year- old Brandy Stevens. Investigators say the victim, an Ohio College Student died after she was buried alive in a shallow grave.
The judge is giving the defense 90 days to report the results of the psychiatric evaluations to the court.
Prosecutors can send in their own psychiatrists to make an evaluation.
It's all part of determining whether Olmstead and Barber are competent to stand trial.
