If you live in Erie County communities with storm sirens, used in case of tornados or other emergencies, the alarms will be sounding Tuesday January 15. But the sound of the alarm will only be a test.
The Erie County Department of Public Safety says municipal sirens are tested quarterly on the 15th day of the month, with tests in January, April, July and October.
The siren will sound in the Corry at 12:00 noon, Union City Borough at 12:15 PM, west county at 12:30 PM and Mill Village at 12:45 PM.
