Jordyn Colao Competes in Miss America Pageant

It was a proud moment for the entire community as an Erie County native competed in the Miss America pageant.  Jordyn Colao, 23 represented Pennsylvania in the Miss America Competition at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.  She introduced herself live on stage on national television, but was not chosen to advance to the final rounds of competition. 

The Mcdowell and Penn state grad prepared for months to take part in the contest.  Her parents closed down their restaurant, Peppino's Italian Chop House to travel to Las Vegas and support Jordyn.  In fact, Jordyn had 80 family, friends and supporters there to cheer her on, including boyfriend and former Penn State football standout, Drew Astorino.

Lauren Adams from SEE News and WICU12 traveled to Las Vegas to follow Jordyn's journey.
