For young gymnasts with big dreams, it's an important weekend at Erie's Bayfront Convention Center. One thousand young gymnasts are competing in the Stars and Stripes Invitational event, one of the largest competitions in the nation.
Saturday night's main event, featured level 9 and 10 gymnasts, those most likely to advance to the national championships. Some may even have a chance at being chosen for Team U.S.A. to compete at the Olympic level.
The stars and stripes invitational was founded in the aftermath of 9-11 and a giant flag serves as a backdrop for the competition.
