O’Neill Heads to Providence

TOLEDO - Defensemen Wes O'Neill has signed a player tryout agreement with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

O'Neill has collected a career high 10 goals this season while skating with the Walleye, his first in Toledo. The ten goals are third most for defensemen in the ECHL. He has also picked up 10 assists in 37 games with Toledo. The 26 year old native of Windsor, Ontario has skated in 192 AHL games prior to this stint between Lake Erie and Bridgeport. O'Neill has also appeared in 5 NHL games over the course of his career with the Colorado Avalanche.
