The flu outbreak is still a big problem nationwide, and some cities around the country say they are running out of vaccine. We checked locally and the supply of vaccine is plentiful. The Erie County Health Department says they have limited supplies and you can call for an appointment if you need a vaccine. They say doctors, hospitals and area pharmacies still have supply as well.
Lifeworks, the local center on health and aging, which runs the public vaccine campaign, started the season with 11,000 doses of vaccine still has 14-hundred doses left. You don't have to be a senior citizen to get a vaccine at Lifeworks. It's good for anyone age 9 and up. They accept walk-ins Monday through Friday.
