Council: Walbridge mayor forfeits his seat

Dan Wilczynski is sworn in as mayor of Walbridge in 2008.

Walbridge City Council says the mayor of Walbridge is forfeiting his seat.

Village Council President Ed Kolanko says Mayor Dan Wilczynski is giving up the position he's held since 2003.

According to the Ohio Revised Code, a mayor must attend 60 percent of city council meetings during his or her two-year term.

Council claims the mayor has not met that requirement.
