Liberty Center Local Schools dismissed class at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday due to a gas leak outside the school building.
School officials say the gas company tested in the classrooms and found no gas inside the building. However, there is still an "egg" smell in the building and the school has to shut off the heat while crews repair the gas line.
Officials say there is no danger to students or staff, but the odor is causing some discomfort. The school plans to air out the building and resume classes Thursday. Parents who usually pick up their children need to make arrangements and/or call the school office.
