A Mercer County man will not face charges in the deadly shooting of his 7 year old son.
It happened back in December, outside the Twig's Reloading Den, in Mercer County. Joseph Loughrey, 44, was there trying to sell two guns. The owner of the store passed on the guns, so Loughrey and his son, Craig, got in their truck to leave. The father thought the 9-millimeter was unloaded, when he put it on the consol. However, there was still round in the chamber. The gun went off, hitting the 7 year old in the chest. The Mercer County District Attorney has ruled it an accident.
