20-year-old Jonathan Figueroa is locked up in the Lucas County Jail accused of shooting a Toledo police car. The shot shattered the front passenger side window. It happened Tuesday in front of 1215 Starr.
"I was actually in the house when it happened the detectives were out front and I happened to come out and they questioned me I'm like wow," said Troy Frustenburg.
The officers weren't hurt. They chased the suspect for several blocks, but lost sight of him. Neighbors say they've seen Figueroa with what appeared to be a gun.
"Later on that night I was talking to my brother and he told me he seen him with the pellet gun so that's when I went and told the police and that's probably how they got him," said Frustenburg.
Wednesday detectives and officers went back to the area looking for the suspect.
Court documents say Figueroa lives in this apartment building. It's in the same block where the squad car was hit.
"TPD was at the back door. I let them in they asked me if I knew anybody that live here that had a gun that shot out the window," said Frustenburg.
Figueroa was arrested and charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of vandalism.
