Late Thursday night, police picked up an Erie man, wanted for attempted murder.
Officers arrested 36 year old Hector Pizarro-Rosa around 9:45 p.m..
They found him hiding inside a home in the 300 block of East 11th street.
He's accused of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and robbery.
Police say he brutally beat an elderly man, John Candia, leaving him in the hospital with critical injuries.
It happened during the early morning hours on Sunday along the 400 block of Ross street in Erie.
Police say Pizzaro-Rosa, stole Candia's wallet during the attack.
Police say a person inside the house could be facing charges for hindering apprehension.
